You can help those who The Shoreline Soup Kitchens serves by volunteering your time at one of our grocery distribution sites and our  meal sites.

Volunteers are needed at our grocery distribution/pantries to sort and inventory incoming food, put together bags of groceries for distribution, and assist in the distribution of groceries to our clients.

Volunteers at the meal sites prepare full meals from scratch and provide fellowship to those who enjoy our meals. All volunteers are expected to be respectful of the diversity of those served and to be non judgmental.

Volunteers are also needed to help in our vegetable garden located in Old Saybrook and with our heat-n-eat program.

In addition to individuals, The Shoreline Soup Kitchens has many volunteer opportunities geared towards groups.  Whether your civic group, company, or youth group is interested in volunteering, a project is always available.

Today, The Shoreline Soup Kitchens has over 750 volunteers who respond to the needs of those living on the shoreline. If you are interested in volunteering or finding out more about volunteer positions available, please click here.
