Grants were presented by The Lyme Tree Woman's Exchange of Old Lyme to four local non-profit organizations.  SSKP was one of the recipients, operating out of the First Congregational Church of Old Lyme.

Thank you to The Lyme Tree Woman's Exchange for their donation and support!

The Lyme Tree Woman's Exchange is located in the Old Lyme Marketplace.  Most items are consigned to the shop for sale by crafters and all profits after expenses are donated to charity.

A special “Thank You”  to the Old Saybrook branch of Wells Fargo Bank for selecting The Shoreline Soup Kitchens & Pantries as the recipient of their 2012 Corporate Grant Award. Their generous gift of $1,000.00 was presented on July 6th , a day designated as “Celebrate The Shoreline Soup Kitchen Day”. We are grateful to Wells Fargo and the Old Saybrook Branch, in particular, for their support in helping SSKP to address hunger in  our community.

Matt Stoner and the senior advisory group of Haddam Killingworth High School recently held a fundraising dodgeball tournament to raise money for the SSKP.  They raised $265.40. Thank you HKHS!

The first ever Shoreline Firehouse Food Drive collected 4,213 lbs of food for our area pantries.

Thank you so much to all who donated, volunteered and helped fill the shelves. We especially want to thank the following Fire Departments for taking part this year:  Chester Hose Company, Clinton FD, Deep River FD, Essex FD, Killingworth FD, Niantic FD Station #1, Niantic FD Station #2, Old Saybrook FD, and Westbrook FD.

Everyone who took part made a difference in the lives of those in need along the shoreline.
